I wish someone had sa...This is so wonderful Hollie! I wish someone had said this to me when I became a parent nearly 9 years ago. I found the first year so stressful because I wanted to do it 'right' (pointing out that I may be a 3 was one of the most helpful things you have ever said to me btw!! finding it so much easier to deal with that when I am aware I am being 3-ish!) but I didn't know what right was! There were so many options! And i didn't want to mess up my kid by doing it wrong!!! If I had just accepted that I had a super cuddly child who preferred to sleep with a grown-up when she was in pain (hello teeth...) and who only wanted one 3 hour nap a day (I can't believe I thought this was a problem...) I would have been a much happier mother for her. Still working on it 9 years later, but awareness that your child is the only instruction manual you need really makes your life a whole lot nicer (for you and them!).
